November 9

ATTENTION: THIS BOOK GIVES YOU THE FEELS!!!

I read Colleen Hoover's November 9 AND OMG THE FEELS!!! I feel like Colleen Hoover likes to take your feels, mixes them around, then throws them on the ground. This book was seriously my favorite that I have read by her. I know I say that a lot but seriously it is SO GREAT!! If you don't know what November 9 is about it is about a girl named Fallon who is scarred from a fire that happened on November 9th and she blames her father for it. Anyway, she gets in a fight with her Dad at the restaurant, so Ben, a complete stranger, pretends to be her boyfriend. From that point on they meet every November 9th. If you haven't read it yet go now, then come back.

********* SPOILER ALERT********

I have been in a reading slump for two weeks, so when I got this book I was so pumped. The first chapter made me really happy I did not want to stop reading. I thought Ben was super cool and confident when he pretended to be Fallon's boyfriend. I love romances like that. I love drama, romance, and happy ending. November 9 was my book. My favorite part of the book was every year them meeting up. I love that nothing changed in their relationship, but everything was changing. Eventually, I think their lives outside of their relationship caught up to them. For example, Ben and Jordyn made me so angry! Honestly though, it was kind of Fallon's fault to let Ben go but I think she made the right decision regarding Oliver. Also, if Fallon did not leave the way she did I don't think she would have ever seen the manuscript which was one of the biggest plot twists EVER! I was at school reading it in the commons I literally jumped up and was like "IT WAS BEN HE DID IT!". I had to call my Mom to talk about it because I was not sure how I felt about it because at first, I was like wait he might change it to make it fit therefore, making it fictional but then Fallon got really mad, and I was praying Ben would tell her he just needed a dramatic moment (as if there wasn't enough dramatic elements). I felt really bad for Fallon after that and mad at Ben, too! He kept saying her scars were pretty and she was beautiful, but he was the one who caused the scars, so I was upset with him. BUT EVERY NOVEMBER 9TH MADE ME SO HAPPY!! What a great plot to have seriously, though. OMG AND TATE AND MILES WERE IN THE STORY FROM UGLY LOVE! Colleen Hoover is my favorite she knows how to write a strong story that stays with you. Slammed was my favorite but this book totally wins. I just loved this plot so much and I wish there was more! Colleen Hoover is by the greatest, so everyone needs to read this book it will give you the feels. Comment below your thoughts on the book!

Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone

                                                               Hi!

Every Last Word is what I'm reviewing today. I fell in love with Tamara's writing with her book Time Between Us it was such a great story and I was so excited to see her coming out with a new book. I was so happy I got to personally meet Tamara and talk with her about Every Last Word. I just got around to reading it so I am very excited to review it. I love Tamara's writing there is just something about her stories that are always beautiful and light-hearted. For those of you who don't know Every Last Word is about a girl,Sam, who is OCD and she is letting the disease over rule her life. One day, she meets a girl named Caroline who invites her into another world of writing. Sam is introduced to new thoughts and words and suddenly she is fighting against her disease and falling in love.

Every Last Word was really well written. I think this book has some beautiful points to it. I think that it shows that words matter and they can change your life. I know reading has definitely changed my life and my perspective and respect for others. All the characters in this story were very inspiring. I love how strong our main character, Sam, is she fights against her own mind and finds a way to deal with something that she has no control over. I also admired Caroline. She definitely showed so much strength and character. The ending was so shocking that is scared me but it was so interesting and amazing. Also, I really loved AJ if I knew a boy like AJ I think he would be the greatest friend ever. I loved how AJ was honest and funny. I loved that he pushed her just enough so she could speak her mind. That is exactly what she needed. Writing was like clearing her head and making her feel normal. This book definitely taught me to use my words to my advantage because it might change my life. Such a beautiful story you will not be disappointed! Go read it and comment what you think!

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

Hello!

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon at Bookcon. I just had time to read it and now I'm reviewing it! For those of you who don't know this book is about a girl who has SCID which is a disease where you are allergic to everything. The main character, Madeline, has never been outside and doesn't know anyone. When a boy next door moves in her disease is

This book was literally EVERYTHING! I loved it so much. It was so refreshing to read something so different. I think fans of Paper Towns and The Fault in Our Stars would like this because there is action, romance, and fear. I read this book in four hours, I just couldn't stop. The story itself was so beautiful, but the words in the story were so inspiring and lovely. Olly was my favorite character to watch through Maddy's eyes. I don't want to spoil anything because I know not many people have read it yet, but it is truly such an inspiring story. There wasn't one thing I didn't like about this story because every moment gave the story life. The story was not hard to get into at all. I honestly can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed experiencing the journey that this novel brought. I give it five stars! Please go out and read Everything Everything on September 1 you will not be disappointed!

Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo

Good Afternoon!

I just finished Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo last night. If you don't know, this book is about a fifteen year old girl, Amelia, who is working at a local supermarket and while she is working there she starts to like a boy named Chris. There is no problem with her liking him and him liking her except he is twenty-one years old.

I didn't really like this story as much as I thought I would. I thought there could have been more parts with them hanging out. I think this book was too short maybe if there were a couple more chapters after the end it could have been really good. I did enjoy reading it, though. My favorite character was Chris I think he was super funny and he was a little stuck in life, so when Amelia came around I think it made his character a little more light-hearted. I thought this book was okay and maybe you would enjoy it more than I did, but I think it wasn't anything new. Anyway, thank you all for reading my blog it means a lot to me!

Tiny Pretty Things.....

Happy Tuesday!

My favorite read so far this summer is Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton. I was very fortunate to meet these two lovely authors in May. They were super sweet and I am so happy I finally got the chance to read their book. Let me just say, I was very shocked at this book. The reason why I was so shocked was because 1.) I really did not think I would like it as much as I did and 2.)  everything was so shocking. The writing in this book was incredible and the story was incredibly captivating. I found myself getting lost in the story at every moment right when I needed to put it down there was a turn, and I could not wait to return to it. I love how much it made you think everyone was so unpredictable. It scared me a little bit to start trusting a character in the story because you never know what was coming next. Every single character kept me on edge, even the ones I liked. Every time I thought maybe I knew what was coming next I was pointed in a different direction, it made reading it so much more fun! I loved how the authors didn't make these people perfect and they showed each character's weaknesses but also their strengths. For right now, I am team Gigi but who knows? I really hope that they will write a sequel to this book because I'm still thinking about the ending. I keep reaching for the book in hopes that another chapter might appear. I highly recommend this book it is super interesting and keeps you on edge. I loved it I hope you will too!

Confess by Colleen Hoover

                                                 Good Morning!

Today I want to discuss Confess by Colleen Hoover! It is about a girl named Auburn and she just moved to Dallas to be closer to family. One day, she passes by a help wanted sign for an art studio called Confess. There she meets Owen, he is a super cool dude who uses the confessions for inspiration to paint art. Auburn helps out Owen at Confess and they end up starting to have feelings for each other and a lot of other dramatic elements along with it! If you have not read it I do suggest it!

This book was so different from many of the books I read. I think it was so cool and beautiful to have this idea of people confessing and getting something out of that. I find that very inspiring and creative because I feel like the confessions were relatable to the story. The characters in this story are well written and I loved their personal stories. I loved getting to know these characters more throughout the book. I was sad to end the book, but so happy that the story was so captivating. Confess was very heart-wrenching and kept you on edge, but also it had really good happy parts. I did not like this book as much as I liked Ugly Love. If you like dramatic love stories with a hint of mystery this book is for you! I really enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read more from Colleen Hoover. Comment below if you have read it and we can discuss more!

The Death Code Book Review

Hello!

This is my first book review! YAY! In the winter I read a book called The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings. I absolutely loved it and was so excited for the next book in the series,The Death Code. I am not really into reading books like this, but my friend talked me into reading it, and I am so happy I did. Anyway, the next book in the series is called The Death Code. I somehow managed to get the book early at Barnes and Noble and finished it the day before it came out. (LOL!) So, The Death Code picks up quickly with a questioning start with Zephyr's POV. I loved it! There is alternating points of view between Zephyr and Meadow. I have to say this was my favorite! There was no boring part about this book. When, the plot started to slow down all the sudden something action-packed or thrilling happened. If your into The Walking Dead, The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, or Divergent I highly suggest this book. There are so many things that happen throughout this book, but they all come together and make everything about it interesting. I feel so sorry for Zephyr because he is so sweet to Meadow, but his mind is jacked up. Also, as I was reading this story I kind of found myself scared in some moments. Please read it! I promise you will not be disappointed. I am so sad to see this series come to a close, but hopefully you all will read it and maybe get us a third. Let me know your thoughts on it!

Much Love,
Channy
